Rachel Ishikawa is an award-winning audio producer. Currently she is the podcast producer and editor at Michigan Radio NPR. She edits the daily Stateside Podcast and works on limited-run series like Collision Course and Kids These Days.
Prior to Michigan Radio, she helped produce NPR Music and WXPN’s Peabody-nominated audiodocumentary, The Gospel Roots of Rock and Soul. She also was the Social Practice Lab Artist-in-Residence at Asian Arts Initiative. Her radio features range from topics of skin stigmas to bioacoustics.
An avid biker, she’s always seeking the best route.
